RoofWorks ("RoofWorks," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at roofworks.app and the RoofWorks platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information collected as part of the SMS/text messaging opt-in, including your phone number and consent, is not shared or sold to any third parties. This is our commitment across all categories of the messaging program.
How you opt in. When a homeowner requests a free roof inspection or roof report on roofworks.app (for example, at roofworks.app/free-inspection), the request form includes a mobile phone field and a separate, unchecked consent checkbox. You opt in only by entering your mobile number and checking that box. The checkbox reads:
“I agree to receive text messages from RoofWorks about my free roof inspection, including scheduling, confirmations, reminders, and related account updates, at the mobile number above. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.”
Consent is not a condition of any purchase or service, and the checkbox is never pre-checked. We do not buy phone numbers or send texts to anyone who has not opted in through this form.
What we send. After you opt in, you may receive text messages related to appointment scheduling, roof inspection confirmations and reminders, inspection follow-up, and account or service updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Example messages:
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; we will stop sending texts to that number. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details below. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Any service providers we use to deliver messages (for example, our SMS carrier) process phone numbers only to send messages on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using them for their own marketing.
We send email in accordance with the CAN-SPAM Act. Every marketing email includes our physical mailing address and a way to opt out; we honor opt-out requests promptly.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only: (a) with service providers who process it on our behalf (hosting, payments, email/SMS delivery) under confidentiality obligations; (b) between a homeowner and the roofing contractor to whom their request is assigned, to fulfill the requested service; (c) when required by law or to protect our rights; and (d) in connection with a business transfer. As stated above, mobile opt-in and SMS consent data is never shared with third parties for marketing.
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal requirements, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
You may access or update your account information, opt out of marketing email and SMS, and request deletion of your information by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable law.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
